Where are the patch notes?
If you’re wondering why you can’t jump into a game of Destiny 2 right now, it’s because the servers are down. Bungie is in the process of rolling out a new hotfix, 2.8.0.1. As such, the servers will be down until 11 AM PST / 2 PM EST.
Destiny 2 Hotfix 2.8.0.1 has begun rolling out across all platforms and regions. Ongoing Destiny 2 maintenance is expected to conclude at 11 AM PDT.

The only problem is, Bungie forgot to tell everyone what is going into this patch. Well, not where anyone could easily find info on it, so we had to do some digging to find out what is in this patch.
According to this link, this hotfix will disable Artifact Power in Trials of Osiris, and fix a missing triumph for the Almighty Seal.
- Artifact Power will be disabled for Trials of Osiris and Iron Banner
- The missing hidden triumph for the Almighty Seal can now be seen
As for the artifact power, Bungie did mention that it would only be active for the first week of Trials of Osiris, the new PVP mode that was activated last Friday. So now that they’re nerfing the artifacts, power levels in Trials will be lower and maybe you’ll have a better chance at winning a match, or not.
Hopefully, it won’t be too much longer until you can get back into the game. Sadly, I was hoping this hotfix would also address the rampart networking errors and connection drops that were introduced when the Season of the Worthy was released.
Destiny 2 is currently available for the PS4, Xbox One, PC and Google Stadia.
