While we’ve seen several developers such as Bethesda and Activision-Blizzard request that Nvidia remove their games from the GeForce Now cloud gaming service, there’s one company that fully embraces this. That company being Epic Games, and its CEO, Tim Sweeny seems to echo several words that I’ve mentioned about the entire situation.
Epic is wholeheartedly supporting NVIDIA’s GeForce NOW service with Fortnite and with Epic Games Store titles that choose to participate (including exclusives), and we’ll be improving the integration over time.

He goes on to mention that Nvidia GeForce now is one of the most developer-friendly and publisher-friendly of the major streaming services. To which I agree with, even if I don’t always see eye to eye with most of what Tim Sweeney has stated in the past.
It’s the most developer-friendly and publisher-friendly of the major streaming services, with zero tax on game revenue. Game companies who want to move the game industry towards a healthier state for everyone should be supporting this kind of service!

This is all great news, especially since we’ve seen multiple companies remove their games. With Fortnite, one of the most played games on the internet being playable on GeForce Now. Many had wondered if that was the next game to be removed.
At the very least, we now know that Epic Games will continue to support GeForce Now. Something to which more companies would also do. That said, I know there’s an entire conversation that needs to be held regarding the legality of having games that you’ve paid for to be played on GeForce Now. That and where game developers and publishers feel about this, and possibly the monetization of this. Which is, at least to me, likely a big reason why companies want their games removed from the service.
Outside of that, we also know that CD Projekt Red is also onboard with GeForce Now, as they announced that Cyberpunk 2077 will debut on the service as soon as it is released. You’ll still need to purchase the game on either Steam or the Epic Games Store. As you don’t purchase games on GeForce Now, and instead simply link to existing services such as Steam, Epic Games Store or other supported digital storefronts.
