Although the official trailer for the upcoming ‘Fast & Furious 9‘ doesn’t get released until this Friday. A short teaser was released to help drum up some hype ahead of the trailer release.

Though this is just a teaser, we can already see a few hints of what’s to come. For starters, we can tell this film will take place a few years after the last movie, as Brian, the name of Toretto’s son who was named after Paul Walker’s character, is already a toddler. And already helping his dad, and delivering tools while he works on his tractor.
In the background we can hear Dom narrating the trailer, “Things changed now that I’m a father. I can’t live my life a quarter-mile at a time anymore”. Followed up with Letty, played by Michelle Rodriguez as she tells Brian “Hi little Brian, I have a gift for you. Your daddy gave me this and now I’m gonna give it to you. It’s for protection from what’s coming”. It seems pretty ominous, doesn’t it?
As for the official trailer, look for that this upcoming Friday, January 31st, 2020. Newcomers to the Fast & Furious 9 include Michael Rooker, Cardi B, and John Cena, who’ll be subbing in now that Dwayne “Rock” Johnson is sitting this one out.
What’s more interesting is that Jordana Brewster, who plays Mia will be in this installment. She was absent in ‘The Fate of the Furious’. How they plan on integrating her back remains to be seen. While Paul Walker’s character, Brian O’Conner is still alive in the story, there hasn’t been any word if Cody Walker, Paul’s brother, will reprise the role again as he did in Fast and the Furious 7. If he is, then he’s being kept under wrappers as the most of the Fast and the Furious 9 cast has been shown.
Maybe we’ll find out when the official gets released this week.
Speaking of the cast, a new set of posters were also released this week. Each of the Toretto’s family is supposedly pictured in front of the vehicle they’ll be driving in the movie. This is odd, as Letty doesn’t have a car and instead is shown in front of a dirt bike. While Roman is standing in front of a Jeep, which isn’t his style.
