The latest trailer for Bethesda’s upcoming DOOM Eternal has been released and it’s the stuff of dreams. The follow-up to the 2016 remake of DOOM, DOOM Eternal picks up where the last game ended. We’re still fighting demons, we’re still looking to smash Samuel Hayden’s ass, but now the stakes are even higher.
But it looks like even Hayden is a pawn in a much larger picture. One where Heaven is getting involved in the fight, against hell and with our buddy looking to right whatever wrongs he can. This trailer may be filled with some spoilers, so keep that in mind.
Other than that, we’ve gotten a better look at the gameplay and even watch a Cyberdemon get beheaded, all in good fun. The more I see of this game, the more I want to play. The action looks tasty, just like the previous game was. More weapons, a lot more demons and new environments to raise from chaos throughout.
We’re just a few months away, but hopefully, we get some early hands-on at PAX East 2020; Here’s to hoping.
DOOM Eternal releases on March 20, 2020, on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Stadia. A Nintendo Switch port is also planned, but so far there hasn’t been a release date announced.
