Temtem, the upcoming open-world Pokemon-like MMO is now getting a stress test event next week. Ahead of its Early Access launch on January 21st, 2020, there will be a stress test to make sure the servers are able to keep up with demand.
There are three tests planned, with the first one starting on January 11 from 10 AM to 2 PM PST. The second test will take place on January 17 from 11 AM to 1 PM, with the final test taking place on January 19 from 9 AM to 11 AM PST.
This stress test is open to anyone and you don’t need to already have access to the alpha or have pre-ordered the early access title. To sign up, head on over to the game’s official website and provide your email address and that’s it. Once the stress tests go live, you’ll be able to participate in them. Should you enjoy the game, you’ll need to drop some cash to pick up the early access version. If you do, keep in mind that progress from the stress test won’t carry over.
Temtem is an interesting idea and it’s something that I’ve noticed that more than a few Pokemon fans have excited over the idea. Sure, it’s not chockful of the Pocket Monsters most are used to, but I’m sure they will be some very similar creatures in Temtem. However, the idea of an open-world MMO where you’ll not only take on quests but also be able to battle it out with other players has potential. Not to mention that since this is an MMO, you’ll be able to create your own avatar, which also is appealing.
I’m looking forward to jumping into this game, which is pretty ironic for me as I despise MMOs and I’ve never played a Pokemon game. Though, everything that I’ve seen so far has my interest piqued.
