It seems like 2019 is the year of 2D beat em ups, as we’ve had several games making quite the splash as of late. Well, we can add one more as Fight’N Rage, an Anthropomorphic 2D beat em’ up brawler has been announced for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Switch.
The PS4 version doesn’t have a release date as of yet, while the Xbox One version releases on September 27th, with the Switch version releasing on September 26th, 2019. Finally, console gamers will be able to see what I couldn’t stop talking about this game (and still can’t).
While this game isn’t new and has been available on the PC via Steam for a while now. Fight’N Rage is still an incredibly crafted brawler that features a ton of playable characters, special input commands similar to fighting games, multiple routes and, an amazing combat system. You could play this game multiple times and still not get the same ending result.
What makes it even more impressive is that the game was developed by Sebagamesdev, a one-man development shop, headed up by Sebastián García. When we spoke with during an interview back in 2017, we asked if there were plans to bring the game to the consoles. In while Sebastián replied “I hope I can do it in the future. If I can, I will do it for sure.” That’s finally happening, thanks to BlitWorks, a company that specializes in porting games.
The chibi-styled graphics might fool you, this game has a lot of depth and despite being two years old, is still a great beat ’em up game. If you’re a fan of the genre, you don’t want to miss out on this game.
