It is a good day to be a Persona 5 fan. There were trailers-a-plenty this morning showing off more of Persona 5 The Royal and a tease of another announcement for Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers for Switch.
Persona 5 The Royal
*Note there are Story Spoilers Here*
First we get the newest character trailer for the main character/ Hero himself, Joker. Subs were added by Lettuce Sauce.

We see Joker with Kasumi at a stage concert, and suddenly busts out some sick dance moves. Seem that Persona 5 Dancing in Starlight is cannon. We then see that we are able to bring Caroline and Justine into the real world, just like with the other Velvet Room Attendant in prior games. We see a little more in regards to the pool table in the new hang out area. Lastly, we see a new attack that appears to be exclusive to Arsene. A big detail is that we see Goro Akechi alive and well, donning his black mask outfit.
Next we have the 3rd trailer showing a lot of extra content and more in regards to the extra palace/dungeon.
Again, we see here that Goro Akechi is wearing his black mask outfit when we faced him at Shido’s palace, but he is alive. Seems we are able to save him in a certain way, like with Adachi in Persona 4 Golden. We also see that the crystal palace appears to take place after the final boss with Yaldabaoth, as noted by the bones and treasure of mementos taking a new form. We then see more in regards to Kasumi’s involvement and place within the new story for The Royal.
Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers
To wrap up, ATLUS also released another teaser trailer for the Persona 5 Scramble for Switch.
We see here listing all the different locations from the game. All while a new rock remix of “The Last Surprise” plays. We then have the next date for new information for the game: October 24. Don’t you just love announcements for another announcement?
Persona 5 The Royal will release in Japan on October 31 for PS4. The Western release will be sometime in Spring 2020. Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers is currently in development for Nintendo Switch.
