Super Smash Bros Ultimate players have been on a high as of late. EVO 2019 had a Smash Bros tournament that was the most-watched in EVO history, and a had a historic final match. What’s more, at the end of July, the second DLC character for the game (The Hero of Dragon Quest) arrived. And with that, players are eagerly awaiting the release date for the third DLC character: Banjo-Kazooie.
At present, Nintendo will only say that the beloved character will arrive “this Fall”, which gives us a lot of potential dates. However, a new rumor from 4Chan has stated that it could happen as soon as September 25th, which is a little over a month away.
Given the history of 4Chan, it’s fair to say that this should be taken with a grain of salt. However, 4Chan has been right in the past, including starting the rumors of Banjo-Kazooie finally being in Smash Bros.
It’s entirely possible that September could be the release date for the character, but as with all Nintendo announcements, only Nintendo knows for sure.
