Why? Tell me why?
I’ve seen a lot of great interest for one of anime’s most loved yet bizarre animes, ‘Neon Genesis Evangelion.’ More so now that show has made its way to Netflix, meaning most won’t have to hunt them down to… acquire them. As a watcher of anime, this is damned good news. Well, it is, with one exception.
They freaking removed the ‘Fly Me to the Moon’ outro. Why the hell would they do that? I mean, this song is iconic to the series, and now, after watching the show without it, it just doesn’t have the same effect. This is definitely a “Bruh moment” if there ever was one.
I can only guess why they did this, but I’ve reached out to Netflix for confirmation. Let’s see if they get back to us.

Those who have seen the show before know that at the end of every episode is an arrangement ‘Fly Me to the Moon by’ Claire Littley and Megumi Hayashibara. Most recognize this classic piece originally sung by Frank Sinatra; however, that’s not completely true. It was actually written by Bart Howard in 1945, with later Kaye Ballard doing the first recording the same year. Years later, Frank Sinatra re-records the song, and his version is commonly most known. In fact, Bart Howard is credited in the Neon Genesis Evangelion.
Bah!
Otherwise, Neon Genesis Evangelion is a good watch for anyone looking for something new (anime) to watch. I recommend giving it a shot, or for fans of the series, watching it all over again. Oh, for you newcomers, don’t mind Shinji. He is a bit of a whining brat, but he grows on you. Eventually, oh, and Misato Katsuragi is the best girl.. er, woman. Please don’t argue with me on this.
Now, where the hell is ‘Evangelion: 3.0+1.0′?
