If you were one the few that were saddened with some of the content that was trimmed out of ‘Avengers: Endgame‘, then you’re in luck. In a recent interview with Comicbook.com, Marvel’s own Kevin Feige confirmed that the epic superhero movie is headed by to theaters. Only this time, it will be packed with some new footage that even Feige isn’t aware as to what’s being added.
But what sort of content are we going to see? While Kevin either doesn’t know or doesn’t want to spoil the surprise, I have a few ideas. Such the moment between Thor and Valkyrie and a somewhat awkward attempt at a kiss. Then there’s the (Spoilers) moment when Tony Stark gives his life for the greater good and sees his grown-up daughter, Morgan. Similar to how Thanos saw the younger version of Gamora when he first used the Infinity Stones. All of which is both interesting stuff and a guess on my part.
Whatever we’ll see, it won’t be until after the credits start to roll. Feige was pretty clear that when Avengers: Endgame heads back to theaters that it won’t be an extended version. Which is likely being saved for the movie eventually comes to digital/Bluray/DVD.
If I’m being honest, I feel this is perhaps Marvel’s way of trying to get a few more views to push Endgame over James Cameron’s Avatar. Which is still sitting at the #1 box office spot at 2.788 billion. However, Avengers: Endgame is not too far away at $2.743 billion. Re-releasing the film to drum up some ‘Spider-Man: Far from Home’ hype and to pull in more tickets would push the film past Avatar. Which is exactly what I think is Marvel’s main goal here.
Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame re-releases in theaters on June 28th, 2019. Are you going to see it again? Let us know in the comments.
