Veronica Mars has returned to the seaside resort town of Neptune, where nothing’s bigger than spring break…which is why its troubling when a series of bombings starts putting lives in danger. Mars is on the case and fans get back to the show they love, as we see in this latest trailer:

In case you wanted the official synopsis from Hulu, we’ve got that too:
Spring breakers are getting murdered in Neptune, thereby decimating the seaside town’s lifeblood tourist industry. After Mars Investigations is hired by the family of one of the victims to find their son’s killer, Veronica is drawn into an epic eight-episode mystery that pits the enclave’s wealthy elites, who would rather put an end to the month-long bacchanalia, against a working class that relies on the cash influx that comes with being the West Coast’s answer to Daytona Beach.
As we can see, Veronica is now working with her father after being away for several years, and Logan is back as well, though for how long. We’ve got J.K. Simmons playing one of the shady dealers involved somehow in the mystery and we even get a pop-up appearance from Patton Oswalt. The trailer really highlights the dynamic between father and daughter detectives, which seems like a lot of fun – not to mention Bell doling out some high-level sass.
If you, like me, haven’t caught up with all three previous seasons of the show, Hulu has them ready for the streaming so you can catch up in time for the eight-episode season.
Veronica Mars Season 4 premieres on Hulu on July 26, 2019.
