Update 4: Destiny 2: Shadowkeep was delayed until October 1st, 2019.
While the Destiny 2 live stream hasn’t officially started, a few amazing tidbits have been announced.
First is the trailer for Destiny 2: Shadowkeep, which was data-mined a few days ago. It’s real and we have the trailer. Something, something Savathun.
Update 3: The moon will be 2x larger than the moon from Destiny 1. There will also be a returning character that Bungie isn’t ready to talk about. Destiny 2: Shadowkeep will be priced at $35 and will include all previous content. A $60 version that includes Shadowkeep and an annual pass was also announced.
If you purchase Destiny 2 right now, you’ll get everything for $40. The only free content is the base game, Destiny 2: New Light and the year one content, Curse of Osiris and Warmind. No word on when we’ll see the game appear on Steam as of yet.
And since they’re going with an ala-carte system, you won’t need to pick up all the previous content to play Shadowkeep. Meaning you can play Shadowkeep day one, without ever played the game before. Everyone who jumps right into Shadowkeep will get bumped up to a 750 power level.
There will be no more platform-exclusive content once Shadowkeep is released.
But that’s not all a cross-save support has been announced for all platforms. Previously the PC, Xbox, and Stadia were the only platforms that we knew supported these. However, PlayStation just tweeted out that they’re also onboard.
Just announced on stream: On September 17, Cross Save will become available on Destiny 2 across ALL platforms!

Keep in mind that Expansion purchases won’t carry between the platforms. While all purchases from Eververse will.
Once September rolls around, all current Destiny 2 PC gamers will be moved to Steam. All of your purchases, expansions, and characters will carry over to Bungie.net. There will be no more Destiny 2 on Battle.net once the migration is complete.
