Bungie has had a busy last few months, with the biggest change being that they’ve parted ways with Activision. As such, many fans (and haters) have speculated what was next for the sci-fi looter shooter. Well, it seems that Bungie doesn’t really want to waste any time and has started teasing the masses.
As such, they’be announced a reveal of sorts planned for next week. In a recent tweet, they’re stating they’ll talk or possibly show off “the next chapter of Destiny 2“. This reveal will take place on June 6th, 2019, at 10 AM PT/ 1 PM ET.

We’re not exactly sure what is being teased here, but I have few things I’d love to see. The first being a new expansion or annual pass that would add more lore and narrative content to the game. Destiny has a remarkable and enjoyable universe that I feel has barely been tapped. There’s so much stuff that could be done. I also have a feeling that Bungie really wants to bring back some Destiny 2 content.
More so after we were able to revisit the Cosmodrome from the first Destiny. It excited me, it gave me chills and it gave me hope that we’d eventually go back. And now that Activision is out of the picture, maybe this is happening. There’s also something about that teaser image, in the background. Something about that star field that seems oddly familiar.
Honestly, I haven’t played much of Destiny 2 of anymore, but I’m hoping this upcoming announcement is enough to pull me back. Crossing my fingers here. What about you?
