It was announced today by Japanese game company DeNA that they are partnering with The Pokemon Company in order to start development on a new Pokemon mobile game. The game is scheduled to launch by the end of the fiscal year which ends on March 31, 2020. As of now, there are no details as to what kind of mobile game this will be but expectations are high ever since Nantic partnered up with The Pokemon Company to release Pokemon GO back in 2016.
This isn’t the first time that Nintendo has partnered with DeNA. They previously did so back in 2015 to launch five titles over two years, ending in 2017. DeNA was responsible for developing Super Mario Run, Mitomo, Fire Emblem Heroes, and Anime Crossing: Pocket Camp games. If you did the math, that was four titles. The fifth title is scheduled to be Mario Kart Tour which is slated for a Summer 2019 release.
