There were a few surprises from Nintendo at The Game Awards last December, but easily one of the biggest ones was the reveal that Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 The Black Order was coming. AND, that it was going to be a Nintendo Switch exclusive! The original Marvel Ultimate Alliance games were fondly remembered, and now, the series anticipated return has gotten a release date!
On Twitter, Nintendo of America shows off the Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 cover art, as well as a release date of 7/19.

Some notes about the cover and release date. On the cover, you’ll notice the prominent placement of one Captain Marvel, Carol Danvers. Who recently had a billion dollar gross at the box office. Also on the cover is Venom, the Guardians of the Galaxy, Scarlet Witch, Black Panther, Falcon and Spider-Gwen. Proving that this third installment will feature many new faces to the roster.
Also of note, the July 19th release date puts it a mere week before the release of Fire Emblem Three Houses, a very anticipated 1st party title. It’s going to be interesting to see how that goes down in terms of sales.
