I’m sure everyone remembers the movie poster for Sonic: The Hedgehog’s upcoming live-action movie. You know, the one that looked like some muscular man with a mascot helmet on his head? Well, we were left wondering just what Sonic would look like in his full CG rendering. Thanks to a blunder from an ad agency for Paramount Pictures, we now know what Sonic looks like. Have a look for yourselves:
Hamagami / Carroll, Inc. is the ad agency that leaked Sonic’s live-action design. Their post states that the design is a “modern take on the brand without abandoning its core essence.” They even went on to describe his persona as being irreverent, sarcastic, chill, likable, and mischievous. The Sonic that they depicted is a bit different from the one we saw in the movie poster. It’s almost if they heard the backlash from the internet and decided to change up his model. There are still some inaccuracies amongst his design, namely when it comes to his eyes and his missing gloves.
The Sonic: The Hedgehog movie is slated for release on November 8 of this year.
