It’s pretty much a tease anymore. With Joey Cuellar or better known as “Mr. Wizard” by the FGC, taunting us with what games will be at the upcoming fighting game event EVO 2019. Then having us all wait until later to find titles actually made the cut. And just like clockwork, he did it again last night.
Some things never change, but the suspense is good. Right?

Thankfully, the reveal of those titles will take place today at 6 PM PST / 9 PM EST. You’ll be able to watch the official reveal over at https://www.twitch.tv/evo.
As for which games I think will get announced for the main stage, check out the list below.
- Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition (safe bet)
- Dead or Alive 6
- Tekken 7 (safe bet)
- Dragon Ball FighterZ – (safe bet unless licensing issues get in the way again)
- Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (safe bet)
- SoulCalibur VI (safe bet)
- BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle
- Mortal Kombat 11 – edging out Injustice 2
Of course, these are merely speculations of my own. We’ll find out the actual line-up later on this evening. Still, it would be amazing if I ended up getting all the games right. Wouldn’t it?
The 2019 EVO Championship Series takes place from August 2-4, 2019, and will be held at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. Make sure you save the dates!
