We’ve known for a while that a number of Resident Evil titles were set to be released for the Switch. Originally teased by Capcom last October and then again last week. Now we finally have official confirmation of the games and when to expect them.
Resident Evil Switch fans will be happy to know that Resident Evil HD Remaster, Resident Evil Zero and Resident Evil 4, will be available on May 21, 2019. In addition, all three titles are available for pre-order on the Nintendo eShop.

Oddly enough, Capcom hasn’t said anything outside of the tweet. We haven’t received any information via the normal press releases we tend to get. We’ll update this story once we do get that.
However, thanks to another tweet by the official Resident Evil account, we did get more information regarding the release of the titles. While it seems that the European release is a digital-only affair, those in North America will be able to get both a digital and physical release. While the physical copies will pair both Resident Evil 1 and Resident Evil Zero either on the same cart or game case.
North American Switch owners will be able to purchase Resident Evil Origins Collection at retail, bundling together both RE0 and 1! Stay tuned for more info.

So there you have it. Add the Switch amongst the number of platforms that are home to these classic Resident Evil titles. If you’re counting, that’s the GameCube, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and now Switch.

Speaking of which, now that Capcom has finally finished porting these to the Switch. I wonder if they’re finally going to let us know if they’re working on either Resident Evil 3 (remake) or Resident Evil 8…. or maybe even both.
