Ubisoft has released the PC requirements for their upcoming title, Far Cry New Dawn .
Seeing how the game is running the game engine as last years Far Cry 5, it’s no surprise that the requirements are identical. Specs include running the game at 720p, 1080p, and 4K resolutions. Looking at the 4K support, it still requires a beast of a video card, as SLI’d GTX 1080 Ti’s are still required. I wonder how an RTX 2080 Ti would handle the tasks instead. Guess we’ll find out when the game gets released.
Interesting enough, Ubisoft has also stated that the game will also include native DualShock 4 support. This is something that more developers should include in their titles so gamers don’t have to depend on 3rd party utilities.
Far Cry New Dawn takes place a few years after the good ending from Far Cry 5. If you call launching a nuke a good thing. You’ll even see some familiar faces make their return, as does a familiar setting. Well, not completely but I suppose that happens when someone launches a nuke into the world. Not to mention the new villains this time around are a pair of ruthless twin sisters, Mickey and Lou. Who rule Hope County, and get their way with pretty much anything. Opposing them means you won’t be long for this world. Your job is simple, survive and take them down. Maybe it’s not so simple after all, right?
“We are very proud of what our team achieved with the PC version of Far Cry New Dawn and cannot wait for PC players to discover the post-apocalyptic scenario we’ve created,” said Raphael Parent, tech director at Ubisoft Montreal. “The bold art direction we have taken for this game is all about a colorful, hopeful, and inviting world, which we know will benefit a great deal from the power of current PC hardware. We hope that players will love the fresh new look of Far Cry New Dawn.”
Far Cry New Dawn launches on February 15, 2019, for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
