Looks like the reboot of the classic SNK fighter, Samurai Shodown (2019), is coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.
According to a recent tweet by Gatoray, the news was announced during the SNK IPO conference. Alongside the confirmation of the game coming to multiple platforms is that King of Fighters XV is also being planned. Which is also good news as the KOF has been hot and the last two games were amazing.

Of course, the first thing that comes to mind is will the game include cross-platform play. Unfortunately, we won’t know the answer until the game is further along in development or when SNK decides to tell us about it. Here’s to home it does make it into the game.
While we haven’t been told which characters are returning, the trailer does show several original characters such as Nakoruru, Haohmaru, Jubei Yagyu, Galford D. Weiler and Earthquake. However, there’s a brief moment where more can be seen, with a character raising a weapon and looks very similar to Charlotte. I really hope that is her, I used to own with her back in the day.
The reboot of Samurai Shodown is set to be released in 2019.
