Tamer than expected
While Capcom’s Devil May Cry 5 won’t be released until March 2019, that doesn’t mean you can’t spend the time getting ready. If you’re looking to pick up the game for the PC, you’ll want to know what the required specifications are going to be. Right? Well, not to worry as we have both the minimum and recommended specs. Surprisingly, they’re lower than I expected them to be. Especially after seeing the game in action.
The following PC requirements can also be found on the Devil May Cry 5 Steam page.
Minimum Requirements:
OS: WINDOWS 7 / 8/ 10 (64-bit)
Processor: Intel Core i7-4770 3.4GHz / AMD FX-8350 or better
Memory: 8GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX760 / AMD R9 270X or better
DirectX: Version 11
Storage: 35GB
Recommended Requirements:
OS: WINDOWS 7 / 8/ 10 (64-bit)
Processor: Intel Core i7-4770 3.4GHz / AMD FX-8350 or better
Memory: 8GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX960 / AMD R9 280 or better
DirectX: Version 11
Storage: 35GB
Oddly enough, the only thing only difference between spec levels is the GPU. The memory, CPU and even hard drive space are the same across the board. Which tells me that the game is more GPU-extensive than anything. I’m also assuming that this is just at 1080p 60FPS. I’d wager that moving up to 1440p or even 4K, that you’re going to need a bit more CPU and GPU. Just due to the nature of those resolutions requiring a bit more CPU and a lot more GPU.
I can’t wait to see the game running on my PC. Hell, I can’t wait to get my hands on the game period.
Devil May Cry 5 is scheduled to be released on March 8, 2019, on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
