Oh boy, here we go. Not only is the 2018 Tokyo Game Show almost here, but we’ve already received a new trailer for Fromsoftware’s upcoming Hack & Slash title Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
Sure, we’ve seen footage of the game prior to this. However, this time we’re treated with new gameplay that wasn’t shown off publically before. A few new enemies, or possibly bosses that I haven’t seen before. Including one that appears to walk across a tight wire. Also, there’s some sort of monkey creature makes an appearance towards the end. It’s looking mighty fine. Especially those designs, which do remind me a bit of stuff we’ve seen in Bloodborne. Super impressive, fluid motions and well, deadly.
But we can talk about the scaling ability that was shown off? We see the protagonist crossing a beam while keeping out of sight. While enables him to get the drop of an unsuspecting enemy. I don’t know about you, but I already see a ton of potential kills due to this mechanic.
I’ve said it before and I don’t mind saying it again. This is easily one of my most anticipated games of 2019. I’m sure I’m not the only saying this, as the game has developed quite a following. Of course, a huge number of those are from the Soulsborne community.
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has a release date of March 22, 2019, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
