After an amazing EVO top 8 a new Guilty Gear game was confirmed to be in development straight from Arc System Works CEO, Minoru Kidooka.
Following the grand finals Kidooka got on stage and stated, “Unfortunately, Guilty Gear director Daisuke Ishiwatari couldn’t be here today, but he is hard at work on a new Guilty Gear title, and while we can’t show it to you today, please wait a little longer.”
Along with this announcement the Arc Revo World Tour was announced. A fighting game world tour reminiscent of Capcom’s Pro Tour and Tekken’s World Tour where arc fighters who have been long slept on by sponsors can win $100,000+ in prize money.
The world tour will last from fall 2018-2019 with qualifiers held all around the world. Each qualifier’s winner will meet at a final location for one last event and the games featured will be Blazblue: Central Fiction, Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator 2, and Blazblue Crosstag Battle.
