Dontnod has released their first teaser for the upcoming Life is Strange 2, and for a game that is supposed to release next month, we still know very little about it. Recently, they released The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit, a short, free game that would lay the foundation for Life is Strange 2. However, Dontnod has remained quiet on how exactly Captain Spirit would relate to the upcoming sequel.
Fans will still have to wait a little while longer to get the full picture. The latest teaser for Life is Strange 2 features footage from a police car’s dashcam. The timestamp reads 2016, suggesting that Life is Strange 2 takes place shortly after the events of first game. A character by the name of Officer Matthews responds to a “10-10” and gets out of the car. There’s a muffled argument heard offscreen before both Matthews and his car are blown back in a strong gust of wind.

The trailer concludes that “All will be revealed” on August 20th. At that point, it’s likely we’ll hear more about story and characters, seeing as the game will only be a month away from release. The connecting thread for these games are their seemingly normal characters that possess superpowers, and another extraordinary ability was showcased in today’s teaser.
The first episode of Life is Strange 2 releases September 27th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit – something of a demo for LiS2 – is available free for download now.
