*Updated* – Seems that Titanfall also requires EA’s Origin. Honestly I don’t see why this is a big deal, you didn’t think EA would let a potential cash cow not use it’s own digital distribution service did you?
Vince Zampella of Respawn took to Twitter today to let everyone know what the minimum required specifications are in order to play Titanfall on the PC and surprising other than the 64-bit OS requirement (Isn’t that common place anymore?) they don’t seem to be very demanding. Obviously this is likely due to the low overhead of Valve’s Source engine which is powering Titanfall.
Minimum System Speculations:
- 64-bit Windows 7 / 8 or 8.1
- AMD Athlon X2 2.8GHz or Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz processor
- 4GB RAM of DDR3/DDR3
- Video card with at least 512MB of VRAM,Radeon HD 4770 or GeForce 8800GT
So there you have it and let’s be honest here for a moment. These system spec’s are perhaps some of the lowest for a PC title in some time and if your PC isn’t able to play this then you’re likley not able to play any of the *High Budget* upcoming 2014 PC games.
Titanfall launches on Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC on March 11th, 2014.
