It’s been four years since Godzilla graced the movie screens in the 2014 movie. At the end of that movie, Godzilla, triumphant, returned to the ocean. Seemingly awaiting this next challenge, while the rest of the world was still grasping the concept of what the heck just happened. However, we haven’t seen the end of him. In a released photo from Entertainment Weekly, we see the King of Monsters showing off his awesome atomic breath. This is taken from the upcoming 2019 film ‘Godzilla: King of the Monsters‘.
What’s interesting about this image as that the atomic breath looks to be a bit more intense, as compared to the previous movie. The fact that he’s blasting it upwards, into the clouds as they radiate from the heat and cast a blue sky makes it that even more impressive. I hope he uses it a lot more this time around.
Just look at him in all his majestic.
And while Godzilla will be back, he’ll be bringing some iconic baddies from the past with him. King Ghidorah, Rodan, and Mothra (YES!) will all rise up and the giant reptile that captured our hearts. I’m sure these fights will be epic… and costly. Ken Watanabe (Ishiro Serizawa) and Sally Hawkins (Vivienne Graham) will also return, alongside a new cast; Vera Farmiga, Millie Bobby Brown and Mark Russell. Stil, I’m a little sad that there’s still no sign of Mechagodzilla. I mean, we need to have a Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla battle eventually.
There’s also word that Godzilla: King of the Monsters will make some sort of showing at San Diego Comic-Con 2019. Which runs from Jul 19, 2018 – Jul 22, 2018. We’re not sure in what capacity it will be, but seeing how the film doesn’t release until May 2019. We’re sure it won’t be a trailer but would be amazing if it did.
Godzilla: King of the Monsters will open in theaters on May 31, 2019. I can’t wait!
