While the first Evo Japan event reportedly didn’t do as well as expected, the next event has already been planned. Evo Japan 2019 will be held February 15-17, 2019. In addition, the event will be heading to a new location. To the city of Fukuoka, Japan, where Evo Japan 2018 was originally held in Tokyo, Japan.
Outside of this, nothing else has been shared at the time.

The big question, however, is will participation be free again. Participation for events at Evo Japan 2018 was free, due to a requirement of Japan’s laws. While the event is moving to a different city, it will still be located in Japan.
As for the games, Evo Japan hosted tournaments for Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, Tekken 7, Super Smash Bros., Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2, BlazBlue: Central Fiction, The King of Fighters XIV, and ARMS. I’m pretty sure that we’ll see one or more games swapped out for newer titles such as Dragon Ball FighterZ, and BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle.
