Nintendo has been doing very well about bringing all of their big franchises to the Nintendo Switch. But one that many have been waiting for more info on is the Fire Emblem entry on the platform. Well, today during the E3 digital event, Nintendo officially unveiled Fire Emblem Three Houses. Sadly though, the game is not coming out this year as originally intentioned, it’ll arrive in Spring 2019.
That being said, we did get the first full trailer for the game, and it’s beautifully rendered in the classic Fire Emblem style. It also should be noted that Fire Emblem Three Houses uses the most of the Switch’s graphical powerful, showing off not only detailed character models, but also, lush game worlds, and enhanced battle sequences. This is something that many have wanted since Fire Emblem came to the Gamecube and Wii.
It also appears that the title will be merging both classic Fire Emblem gameplay style with more group based tactical gameplay, including teaming up with certain characters and groups to do special attacks. There also appears to be some exploration in the title, not unlike what was done in Fire Emblem Shadows Of Valentia.
Hopefully, we’ll get some more details on the game as the year progresses.
