We’re less than a week away from E3 2018, and Nintendo fans everywhere are eager to find out what Nintendo has in store for them in regards to Super Smash Bros For Switch. We know the game will be at E3, as there’s going to be an invitational tournament as well as free play for attendees who sign up in time. But, the real question is, will we get new character trailers?
Fresh off the rumors that Microsoft will have representation in Super Smash Bros For Switch (I’m rooting for Banjo-Kazooie!), another rumor has arrived via ComicBook.com where they cite a guy claiming that Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid is coming back into the fray. If you recall, Snake was in Brawl, and was, in fact, the first 3rd party character reveal in the history of Super Smash Bros. He was followed by Sonic the Hedgehog in Brawl, and then a slew of characters like Mega Man, Pac-Man, Bayonetta, Ryu, and Cloud in Smash Bros Wii U/3DS.
Seeing Snake come back would be really cool, but it’s unknown if Konami actually would allow this. Snake was only in Brawl because his creator, Hideo Kojima, was friends with Smash Bros lead Masahiro Sakurai. Kojima is no longer with Konami, so will this happen? I don’t know.
Oh, and the same guy who mentioned Snake also mentioned that Minecraft could be in the game in some form. Ok…
