Valve recently held a conference that apparently press wasn’t allowed to, but of course that doesn’t stop news from leaking out. According to news released so far is that the Steam Controller has been given a makeover in such that the touch screen has been removed and buttons have been added to the front of the controller. A mock-up of the new controller can be seen below, image thanks to TheIneQuation who was in attendance at the conference.
Valve states the the new controller will provide a “Ghosting” mode which will replace the missing touch screen and will project an overlay of the users thumbs onto their TV/monitors. Other news regarding the controller is that Valve states that API will allow up to 16 controllers to be connected at one time.
