It was announced in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine on Monday that the Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker game will be released on August 30 in Japan for the Playstation 4 and in the West on August 31 for the Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
The game is being produced by Bandai Namco and has been described by them as follows:
Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker is a high-speed four vs. four multiplayer title that encourages cooperative play through the use of character-specific roles. Characters are split up into four roles: Attack, Ranged, Defense, and Heal. Teams that utilize these four types of characters will be formidable opponents on the battlefield.
The game is being developed by Soleil Ltd/Valhalla Game Studios and is being described as an acrobatic ninja battle game. The game will feature an online system where players can form four-person groups (known as cells). This also holds true for the local multiplayer option as well, meaning up to eight players can battle in a 4 vs 4 mode.
