Just announced via the Xbox Insider show, the sci-fi exploration title No Man’s Sky finally has a release date. July 24, 2018, is when you’ll be able to get your hands on the title on both the Xbox One S and Xbox One X. Previously the title was PlayStation 4 console exclusive title, as well as being available on PC.
Your time is coming, Xbox One owners. I know that you’ve waited long enough.
But that’s not all, as the Xbox One version will also include multiplayer. Something that was absent from title when it first launched on the PS4 and PC. And while the previous versions did get an odd take on multiplayer with the Atlas Rises update, it isn’t true multiplayer. This time we’re finally getting the ability to play with friends via Xbox Live and this will be the original vision of No Man’s Sky’s multiplayer. Now you’ll be able to play online and explore the galaxies with company.
It wasn’t hinted that the multiplayer would head to the PS4 or PC, but it’s safe to assume that this will eventually make it over to those platforms. That and it was already announced back in March 2018 that a huge update was coming in Summer 2018.
Coming in Summer 2018 is No Man's Sky NEXT, a free update for PS4, PC, Xbox and WeGame. It's our largest update so far, and we're working our socks off pic.twitter.com/wZhjaLMbsT
