One of the biggest question marks for the Nintendo Switch this year isn’t necessarily about the major 1st and 3rd party games that are coming. Rather, it’s about Nintendo Switch Online. The new Nintendo online service that was scheduled for last year and then early this year but is now set to release in September.
On one hand, the service is set to provide solid online gaming for only $20 a year, and there have been other promises as to what the service could and might offer. However, Nintendo has been mum about what it will actually have.
In the newest issue of Game Informer, the magazine talked with Reggie Fils-Aime, who noted that Nintendo is “looking forward to providing a robust online experience”.
But what exactly does that mean? Will we get more details on what Nintendo has in store? And if so, when? Hopefully we’ll find out more about what Nintendo Switch Online will offer at E3 2018.
