Did you know that you can end Far Cry 5 early? Like, just after you boot the game early?
In this part of the game, you have the option, as the rookie officer, to cuff Joseph Seed inside of the Eden’s Gate compound, at the orders of Sheriff Whitehorse. However, as the folks at PCGamer found out, you can just let the game sit for a few moments, and Seed will be set free, and the Sheriff will concede that if he is arrested, no one will get out alive. Whitehorse leaves the compound, and the credits roll in an anti-climactic ending to the game after 10 minutes.
I would have certainly appreciated the schadenfreude of seeing the salt fly as people get misdirected into the feeling of being ripped off. However, it’s good that PCGamer spread the good word because I wouldn’t be a big fan of seeing this game get review bombed because of a few people not realizing that there is more to this game.
Far Cry 5 will be available on March 27 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam.
