It looks like the Stardew Valley multiplayer update is getting closer and closer to release! Creator Eric Barone of ConcernedApe tweets today that they are currently in the quality assurance testing phase:
Stardew Valley multiplayer is in QA and bugs are being fixed at a very good pace!

Barone initially announced that the multiplayer update would arrive in Q1 of 2018, and it looks like this might still be a realistic goal. ConcernedApe has been very transparent about the status of the multiplayer update, and it sounds like things are moving along nicely. Last we heard, Barone teased a 4-player LAN party on Twitter back in January.
The developer is also currently working on a PS Vita port, and more single player content to be released alongside the multiplayer. The update’s new content will be featured in the singleplayer and multiplayer modes, including a new town event, new items, signs, and more. In fact, he also announced the addition of hats for horses today, which is something you probably didn’t know you wanted until now.
One of my favorite things in the new update… hats on your horses. They look very good on the horse. Looks pretty natural, actually pic.twitter.com/K3DtR1pb8e

Stardew Valley is currently available on Steam, Xbox One, PS4, and recently the Switch.
