We’re still four months away before Universal Pictures releases Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, and the studio already has plans for the 3rd film. The currently named Jurassic World 3, has been given a June 11, 20121 release date. The final film of the Jurassic World trilogy.
Details surrounding the film are scarce, which makes sense as part two hasn’t been released as of yet.
Colin Trevorrow will return and is working on the film along with Emily Carmichael, who is new to the series. Both Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley are also returning to produce the film. It’s safe to assume that both Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will survive Jurassic World: the Fallen Kingdom and will return in the final film.
Trevorrow gave a statement regarding not only the release date but the legacy of Jurassic World and what this 3rd film means.
“It’s important to this franchise that we welcome new creative voices to keep our storytelling fresh and alive,” “I’m thrilled with the tension and beauty J.A. has brought to Fallen Kingdom, and I know Emily will add another layer of emotion to the concluding chapter of our trilogy.”
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is set to open in theaters this June 22, 2018.
