Hot on the heels off best picture nominee and horror hit Get Out, Jordan Peele has plans for a new film. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the director confirmed another genre piece. Once again, it’ll be made with Universal. Peele was intentionally coy about the new film. He mentioned working on writing it and that he’ll shoot it later in 2018. As to what kind of film it’ll be? Peele mentions “thriller, horror, action, fun, genre of intrigue.” So he doesn’t exactly narrow it down. But he does provide a couple more clues. He says that “tonally it should resemble Get Out” and that he wants “to address something different than race.”
Judging by this, it looks like the film will likely be another horror satire. As to what he’ll skewer in this one? Your guess is as good as mine. Luckily we don’t have long to wait.
In other news, for anyone who has yet to experience Get Out, AMC Theaters announced that it will be playing Peele’s film in select theaters. Get out and see it while you can.
