Weighing in at 1.16GB for the PlayStation 4, and just 279MB for the PlayStation Vita version. This patch includes changes/updates to the script, item names, in-game terminology, monster/boss names, graphical text. It also includes fully re-recorded dialogue in English.
If you aren’t one the many that already picked up the game, but are curious about the changes. NIS America will be streaming the patched version of Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA, later today. Tune in to their Twitch Channel at 3PM PST/6PM EDT to see all the changes. As well as the feedback from the fans and what else they have in store for the title.
On the update’s release day, we will be running a Twitch stream at 3:00 PM PT and playing through the early part of the game to show off the re-localization as well as to answer any questions you have on the chat.
We want to thank our partners at Nihon Falcom for working with us on this update, but most of all we want to thank all of you for your patience throughout this process.
Sadly, there hasn’t been any update for the PC version of Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA. Last we heard, the game has been delayed indefinitely. But hopefully, there may be some news about that later on today as well.
Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA was originally released for the PS4 and PS Vita on September 12, 2017.
