This final beta is only available on the PlayStation 4
While the retail release of Monster Hunter: World is just a few weeks away, Capcom has announced that we’ll get one more beta prior to release. This new beta, however, will not like the previous betas. You’ll still be able to do the Great Jagras, Anjanath and Barroth quests. As well as a new quest that features the Nergigante. Sounds neat, right?
This beta will run from Jan. 18 at 6 PM PT / 9 PM until Jan. 21 6 PM PT / 9 PM. So if you missed the last two betas, you’ll have one more chance. And just like the other betas, it will be open to anyone.
There’s just one issue and one that is really starting to annoy me. And that this is not available for the Xbox One at all. I understand that Capcom sees that the PS4 is the majority console out there. It has a massive following in Japan and so does Monster Hunter. But the game is releasing on both the PS4 and Xbox One. Yet, we haven’t seen any footage of the Xbox One version. On the flipside, we’ve seen to betas for the PS4, while there hasn’t been anything for the Xbox One and that’s depressing. Why have has the beta been exclusive to the PlayStation 4?
That’s a great question and as such, we’ve contacted Capcom to see if we can get a reply. I don’t like this, not one bit. If Monster Hunter: World is being released for both platforms, why has the PS4 been the only one to see a beta. Sorry, three betas. While Xbox One owners haven’t seen nor heard anything? At this point, I should say that perhaps those owners should start to worry. It could just be Sony’s console getting more exposure. It could be that The Xbox One version is looking pretty good. Or it could be a sign that Xbox One port is bad. Hopefully, Capcom gets back to us regarding this decision.
Monster Hunter: World releases on Jan. 26, 2018, on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The PC version won’t be released until Fall 2018. So if you’re looking forward to the PC release, you’ll be waiting for a while.
