Capcom has just announced that Devil May Cry is getting an HD Collection. And yes, this was heavily rumored a few months ago, so it’s nice to see that it’s officially confirmed. The Devil May Cry HD Collection will include the original three DMC games, for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
This collection will be released on March 13th, 2018 as a digital-only title, priced at $29.99. Devil May Cry 4 won’t be included as it had an HD version back during 2015 – Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition. This was already released on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
No word on what enhancements the games will see, but hopefully Capcom is shooting for 1080p and 60FPS.
- Devil May Cry (2001)
This is the one that started it all, starring a mature and subdued Dante, which matched the mood and tempo of the game’s sense of isolation during the exploration sequences and tough-as-nails boss battles. - Devil May Cry 2 (2003)
Taking place after the events of the first Devil May Cry, this sequel strives for a more cinematic look and feel to combat, changing things up in how the camera behaves, but also taking extreme care to make the animations more natural and fluid. Plus, you can unlock and play as Trish, featuring her own unique weapons and move set. - Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition (2006)
Focusing on the origins of our favorite demon hunter, this prequel features a much younger and more rambunctious Dante who cares very little about how much damage he’s doing to even his own shop as long as he can chew his pizza and kick some butt.
This comes at a good time, as there have also been rumors of Devil May Cry 5 being in production, exclusively for the PS4 A PC version is also rumored to come as well. Those rumors have also claimed that we’ll hear about DMC5 during the PlayStation Experience 2017 event, which takes place between December 8th and December 9th, 2017. Here’s to hoping we do.
