We here at the Outerhaven want you to know us not only for our passions surrounding gaming, tech, television, movies, anime, manga, etc. Every week we’re going to deliver to you a list of videos we have been checking out while cyberloafing the internet. It gives you a chance to see another side to us, one that isn’t focused on covering the latest news or reviews. While this list will be largely safe for work, we must warn against things that may incite any phobias that you may have. Enjoy!
Clinton’s Pick:
So, I love building PCs. I want to upgrade my PC soon, however, the price for a lot of the of the parts are stopping me so far. While I’d love to explain why, but Paul’s Hardware puts this into better words than I ever could.
Will’s Pick:
The man who never speaks, Charlie Chaplin. If a person who never speaks, speaks, you listen. Personally, it’s not about being political. Its about being human. A message that many people forget. Always listen, even if it causes you anger. At you know where the motivation comes from. Don’t forget your humanity. Worry not, the hate of men will pass.
Josh’s Pick:
It is a video that is living in infamy. This is the famous (or infamous) cut scene from Mega Man 8 for the Playstation and Sega Saturn. The voice acting for this game was absolutely atrocious. Mega Man sounded like a 4 year old girl and Dr. Light sounded like an intoxicated Elmer Fudd. In fact, in this clip, Dr. Light’s voice actor, Darryl Stogre, stumbled over his lines TWICE and it still made the final cut. This clearly showed just how little Capcom cared about the English translation of Mega Man 8! Despite the cringe-worthy acting, it’s still hilarious and remains an internet meme to this day.
Sara’s Pick:
So, I’m a sucker for good editing. Like the days of old when AMVs reigned supreme, a good edit makes anything normal amazing. And hey, this incredibly well put together parody of “Hammer Time” with footage of Thor is too good not to listen to. Hope you think it’s worthy of a watch!
Liz’s Pick:
It’s Anthony’s (of Opie and Anthony) Vince McMahon impression. Simply marvelous.
Todd’s Pick:
The “Who Would Win?” matchup of Batman vs. Spider-Man is a classic. But, what if their futuristic counterparts did battle? Who would win in that? Well, that’s what Death Battle decided this week! Check it out.
That’s all for week’s roundup. Tune back in next week to see what we are sharing next!
