Since May 2017, you would be forgiven if you thought that the offerings given in the Playstation Plus monthly “free game” section was finally starting to resemble something like the service that most people first got before the Playstation 4 was launched and Sony started shoving nothing but shovelware and cheap indy titles down our collective throats given that there were some great AAA style games like Tales from the Borderlands (May 2017), Killing Floor 2/Life is Strange (June 2017), Until Dawn/Game of Thrones: A Telltale Game Series/Tokyo Jungle/Darkstalkers Resurrection (July 2017), Just Cause 3/Assassin’s Creed: Freedom Cry (August 2017), inFAMOUS: Second Son/Hatoful Boyfriend (September 2017) & Metal Gear Solid: The Phantom Pain/Amnesia: Collection (October 2017).
Well those fun times are well and truely done with since it’s now time to bring back the trash with November’s offerings, which you can see outlined below.
November’s PS Plus lineup is:
PlayStation 4
- Worms Battlegrounds
- Bound (PSVR support)
PlayStation 3
- R-Type Dimensions
- Rag Doll Kung Fu: Fists of Plastic
Vita
- Dungeon Punks (crossbuy with PS4)
- Broken Sword 5: The Serpent’s Curse, Episodes 1 & 2
Bonus
- Until Dawn: Rush of Blood (PSVR)
- That’s You! (Playlink)
If there are are any “picks” from the November line up it would objectively be Worms Battlegrounds on Playstation 4 & Rag Doll Kung Fu: Fists of Plastic on Playstation 3. Worms is Worms, it’s a long standing enjoyable party game for a reason. Rag Doll Kung Fu: Fists of Plastic on the other hand is a weird but fun beat’em up fighting game that is worth a few rounds once you’ve had a few drinks with friends. Other than that, it’s all trash. It’s a shame that since Sony has been on such a great run with amazing Playstation Plus offerings for the last 6 months that they would suddenly start pushing crappy games once again… oh wait, Christmas is coming. Why get good games for free when there are so many new shiny games at higher prices for you to buy at this time.
The previous month’s titles which include actual exciting games like Metal Gear Solid: The Phantom Pain (PS4), Amnesia: Collection (PS4) & Hustle Kings (PS3) can still be found on the Playstation Plus section of the Playstation Store till November 7th, when they will be replaced by the games outlined above.
