Last week, a complete edition for Horizon Zero Dawn was announced to release later this year. Since “complete edition” implies it will have all extra content, speculation began that the upcoming Frozen Wilds DLC would be Horizon‘s only DLC. Guerrilla Games confirmed this to be true today via Twitter.
The Frozen Wilds will be the only expansion for Horizon Zero Dawn.

Due to Horizon‘s success, we certainly haven’t seen the last of this franchise. It’s possible Guerrilla wants to shift gears and work on a sequel following the release of The Frozen Wilds.
The expansion will be a new adventure for Aloy that brings players to new locations and faces them with more machines. According to an announcement on the official PS Blog,
Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds is an expansion for Horizon Zero Dawn that takes place in the Cut, a boreal wasteland to the north that separates the Banuk homelands from the rest of the world. It is a place where none but the most skilled hunters dare venture, and those that do must survive against dangerous new machines and freezing temperatures.
The announcement also featured a trailer that shows off some of the beautiful landscapes that players will explore in the upcoming DLC.
The Frozen Wilds releases this November 7 for $19.99 (and $14.99 for PS Plus subscribers). You can pick up Horizon Zero Dawn: Complete Edition to receive the base game and the expansion on December 5.
