The development team over at Survios, the gaming studio focused on building immersive VR experiences, has recently announced that their newest game, Raw Data, will be coming to PlayStation VR on October 10.
Raw Data is set way into the future during the year 2271 where Eden Corp, the supposed corporation centered around “mending humanity” has actually begun execution of their latest plan involving newly created synthetic humanoids. With this red flag, members of SyndiK8 are sent on a mission to infiltrate Eden Tower and it’s up to this team to download as much raw data as possible to expose Eden Corp and their evil plan.
Survios invites players to join SyndiK8 and fight for humanity against enemies in this game’s beautifully rendered surroundings and environments. The development team not only intends for players to have an immersive experience, but strives to make these experiences more human, giving players the sense that they exist in a futuristic world as soon as they put on their headset!
There are several heroes to choose from, each with special abilities and techniques revolving around different fighting styles. It’s just a matter of choosing which feels best while wearing your headset.
Take the character Boss for example. He’s a contracted operative for SyndiK8, with a powerful shotgun and ability to bash enemies to pieces with his bionic arms and iron fists. Check out his SyndiK8 profile below.
While there is an option to play with friends online via co-op for assistance in challenging levels, Raw Data features a campaign with a unique story and plenty of objectives to complete. Those looking to grab a PlayStation VR bundle this fall should definitely consider adding this exciting game to their wish list!
In addition to its release on PS VR next month on October 10, those with the HTC Vive or Oculus headsets will get access to the game a bit earlier beginning October 5. For more information about Raw Data and characters in the game, click here.
