The Project AM2R story gets its happy ending!
Many of you are aware than the fan-made Metroid Project AM2R, was shut down by Nintendo. Which was a heart breaker, as the developer, Milton Guasti, had put his heart and soul into that game. Well, things have a funny way of rewarding people and it definitely looks like Milton has gotten everything that he deserved. I noticed over the weekend that he tweeted that he has a new job – and is now working as a level designer.
Moon Studios, the development studio behind Microsoft’s Ori and the Will of the Wisps, has hired Milton! What’s more, the company’s CEO reached out to him and I’m happy to see that he’s part of a very capable indie team. We’ll have the pleasure of playing a title that is part of. That is unless you didn’t get a chance to check out Project AM2R.
It's a special day for another reason. I'm now part of Moon Studios, I'll be working on level design for Ori and the Will of the Wisps.

While all wished that Nintendo had picked him up but it wasn’t meant to be. Still, being picked up by Moon Studios definitely isn’t bad. That said, I still think that his fan remake of Metroid 2 is a bit better than what Nintendo is officially releasing in September. I really wished more people had a chance to check out this gem.
Congrats Milton Guasti! Mission completed and a job well done!
Ori and the Will of the Wisps will be released on the Xbox One, Xbox One X and Windows 10. The release date for the title has yet to be announced.
