The Marvel Cinematic Universe is gaining two big names in television and film in Michelle Pfeiffer and Laurence Fishburne.
Announced at the Marvel panel at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday, Pfeiffer will be taking the role of the original Wasp, Janet Van Dyne, the wife of Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and mother of Hope (Evangeline Lilly) in ‘Ant-Man and The Wasp.’ Fishburne will be playing the role of Bill Foster, a scientist who worked alongside Pym, eventually becoming Black Goliath. Foster was one of the first casualties of the Marvel Civil War in 2006.
In Ant-Man, Pym mourned the loss of his wife, who had been lost in the sub-atomic realm while disabling a rocket.
Peyton Reed will return to direct the film, which opens on July 6, 2018.
