Ubisoft has premiered a first look at gameplay for the recently announced Far Cry 5. Set for the first time in America, players will explore rural Montana as it is under attack by a violent cult.
From the official press release:
Set in America for the first time, Far Cry 5 offers players total freedom to navigate a serene-looking yet deeply twisted world, as the new junior deputy of fictional Hope County, Montana. Players will find that their arrival accelerates a years-long silent coup by a fanatical doomsday cult, the Project at Eden’s Gate, igniting a violent takeover of the county. Under siege and cut off from the rest of the world, players will join forces with residents of Hope County and form the Resistance.
The gameplay reveal introduces Far Cry 5‘s co-op mode and gave us a first look at some of the characters forming the resistance – sniper Grace Armstrong, a dog names Boomer, and pilot Nick Rye.
In addition to a first look at gameplay, another official story trailer was unveiled at Ubisoft’s E3 press conference:
Far Cry 5 releases February 27, 2018 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
