It’s always a good day when we get to talk about Super Smash Bros! After all, the FIGHTING GAME series (don’t try and say it’s not one) is iconic in every way that matters. From its Nintendo-focused roster (with some key 3rd party additions…), to its unique gameplay style and controls, to the overall fun and competitiveness factor that emerges with every new entry, and, of course, the incredibly epic reveal trailers, the games have had it all. Today marks the 26th anniversary of the franchise in Japan, and that’s something that is worthy of both praise and reflection.
Happy 26th Anniversary to the Super Smash Bros. series!
Will Super Smash Bros. on Switch 2 be a reboot? a port of Ultimate? or something in-between.

After all, what would the Nintendo world be without this game? It’s a much worse place overall, as this is the “true place” where all the great Nintendo franchises and beyond converge to have a knockout, drag ’em out battle to see who can come out on top! The trailers always garner big attention, and that’s why many are curious to see what happens next.
We know from Masahiro Sakurai’s final YouTube video from his “Creating Games” series that he’s been working on something for about 2 years now, which many feel is Super Smash Bros. However, even if it is, it won’t be the size of Ultimate on Switch, even Sakurai has admitted that.
Even still, it’ll be something to look forward to as the Nintendo Switch 2 rolls out.
