If you’ve been overwhelmed by the amount of game announcements recently. You may have missed the reveal of Split Fiction, a brand-new game from Hazelight the studio behind the award winning It Takes Two. In Split Fiction, players work together as Mio, a realist Sci-Fi writer, and Zoe, an optimistic fantasy novelist, embark on a split-screen adventure through their own stories. As they leap across thrilling and radically contrasting worlds in their attempt to escape, players will coordinate with each other and build new skills and tools all while uncovering the power of unexpected friendship.
Those familiar with Hazelight’s previous games’ will know that they are built to play in co-op. Split Fiction continues this trend while taking us on a Sci-Fi and Fantasy adventure. Today, the team decided to release a new trailer showing off more gameplay and in-particular focusing on Side Stories.
While Hazelight’s previous titles always have some additional activities to do during the main quest, they have never really had any meaningful side content. From this latest trailer, Split Fiction looks like it’s changing that! I can’t wait to see how many portals there are throughout the game and where they take us. Luckily, we don’t have too long to wait!
Split Fiction will launch March 6 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store and the EA app for $49.99. Players can also invite a friend to play with them for free on any platform (Crossplay on PS, Xbox & PC) with the Friend’s Pass.
