The King of Fighters XIII Global Match will be coming in hot on February 20th this year. Unfortunately, King of Fighters XIII Steam Edition will be removed earlier on to make way for the updated Global Match edition.
The 3rd and final canon entry in SNK Playmore’s Ash Saga will be taken down from the store on January 23rd, according to SNK’s official Twitter/X account. Upgrading to the Global Edition will be $6.99/€6.89 for previous Steam account owners. Global Match possibly indicates that online matchmaking will be improved in this iteration.

After the two tag-team games of the Ash saga happened with KOF 2003 and KOF 11, SNK returned to its 3 vs. 3 turn-based system series roots to finish the series. The big difference is the new sprites that came in place before King of Fighters went full 3D, which was already established in KOF 12.
Hailed as one of the greats because of the perfected Dream Cancel and Max Mode mechanics, King of Fighters 13 stands in a league of its’ own. Also, KOF 13 holds a good roster and takes in some classics from different titles. Also, a conclusion to one of the most perplexing main characters runs in SNK next to Mark of the Wolves is headed by the son of the Fatal Fury‘s mainstay antagonist.
